On the heels of the wildly successful run of FPCT’s Baltimore Premiere of Miss Holmes in 2024, we are thrilled to bring back original cast members, Sharon Maguire and Emma Grace Dunbar as the classic duo-with-a-twist, Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson! In this stunning sequel to the original Miss Holmes, which saw Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic characters reinvented as women in a Victorian-era England that was not ready for them to take on “men’s work,” Holmes and Watson have been playing the game for several years and have gained quite a reputation. So, when a nurse and activist finds herself on the run, wanted for murder, and threatened by sinister figures from the shadowy criminal underworld, she turns to Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson for help.

Miss Holmes Returns explores feminist themes using the classic mystery characters, settings and tropes created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to explore the added challenges and risks faced by these iconic characters if they were women. Director and FPCT Managing Director, Brad Norris, returns as well to build an even bigger and more thrilling world for Holmes and Watson to be mischievous and solve crimes in.

The performance runs approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.

Sharon Maguire (she/her) - Sherlock Holmes

Sharon is overjoyed to slip back into her favorite character for another adventure. A Baltimore based actor, she studied Theatre Arts at Johns Hopkins University and recently appeared onstage as Istole in The Murder of Gonzago (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company), Sherlock Holmes in Miss Holmes (FPCT), Joy in Honey Bee Baby (Rapid Lemon Productions), and Decius Brutus in CAESAR/AMERICANA (Motte & Bailey Prod). Sharon would like to dedicate this performance to Kathe Dwyer. The game is afoot!

EmmaGDPic.png

Emma Grace Dunbar (she/her) - Dr. Dorothy Watson

Emma feels immense gratitude to bring her dear friend Dr. Dorothy Watson back to the FPCT stage. Emma is a 2014 graduate of George Washington Carver Center for Arts & Technology, where she became a founding member of Trapdoor Theatre Company. She is also a former Oregon Shakespeare Festival "Semmie,” and credits her youth theatre experiences with her life today. Her recent roles include Guildenstern in HAMLET/BLACK PARADE (Motte & Bailey), Asha in Blood at the Root (FPCT), and of course, the illustrious Dr. Watson in Miss Holmes (FPCT).

Dominic Gladden (he/him) - Geoffrey Lestrade

Dominic is a graduate of Morgan State University, holding a BA in Theatre Arts. His previous Fells Point Corner Theater engagement was in the Spring 2024’s run of Miss Holmes as Inspector Geoffrey Lestrade. Dominic has performed in various theaters in Baltimore including, Arena Players, Baltimore Centerstage ArtsCentric, Single Carrot Theater, The Strand, and Chesapeake Shakespeare Company.

Gaya Mundlye (she/her) - Priya Singh

Gaya Mundlye is celebrating a year of artistic firsts. Recent credits include Antigone (Spotlighters), Close Your Eyes (LTA), and now the role of Priya Singh in Miss Holmes Returns, a character close to her heart, made possible by the structural integrity of a corset. Trained at AADA, Gaya treats line memorization like mental cross-training: the theatrical equivalent of eating almonds and calling it discipline. This season has confirmed two things: she can survive without coffee, and she will absolutely demolish a pizza after combat rehearsals. Endless gratitude to the FPCT cast and crew for this generous space, the warmth, and the chats about everything under the sun. Much love to her personal hype team - V&S and her family/friends for the unwavering support and much-needed promotions.

Christen Cromwell (she/her) - Josephine Butler

Christen Cromwell is a Baltimore native and professional nerd. After becoming passionate about equity in education, she earned her MAT in Secondary English and Theatre Education. Her wacky arts resume includes acting, directing, and writing credits in theatre and film. She currently teaches English and Theater Arts at the Baltimore City College, her alma mater. She serves on the boards of the Strand Theater Company in Hamilton, Arts Education in Maryland Schools (AEMS), and Two Strikes Theatre Collective (TSTC). Liam is the coolest person in the world to her. Much love to merry band of Cromwells for always being supportive.

Jessica Preactor (she/her) - Olive McGann

Jessica began her professional theatre career in 2001, performing in over 15 productions at the Oregon Ridge Dinner Theatre until 2014. Her first leading role came right after graduating highschool, taking on the role of Peter Pan in Peter Pan with Cockpit in Court. Before leaving for college, she accepted her ATCL diploma from Trinity College London. After honing her craft at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, she returned to Baltimore stages in standout performances like Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Aldonza/Dulcinea in Man of La Mancha. Her most recent performances include, Princess Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress, Rosencrantz in Hamlet/Black Parade, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Octavius in Caesar/Americana. Jessica would like to thank her family and husband for their endless love and support.

Education: MFA, STC Academy at GWU. katieganem.com

Andy Belt (he/him) - Mycroft Holmes

Andy is thrilled to be returning to Fells Point Corner Theatre having performed in the original Miss Holmes two years ago. Previously at FPCT, he was also in Machinal and The Mineola Twins. Elsewhere in Baltimore, Andy has performed at Vagabond Players (The Shark Is Broken, Broadway Bound, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, among others) and at Spotlighters Theatre (Clyde's, The Mousetrap, Much Ado About Nothing). Andy holds a bachelor's degree in theater from Wake Forest University.

Crew Bios

BradNPic.png

Brad Norris (he/him) - Director/Set Design/Fight Choreography

Brad is a Baltimore based Director, Scenic Artist, Sound Designer, Fight Choreographer, Production Manager, and nerd who is thrilled to be back for the sequel and working with this fabulous team again. He is currently the Managing Director of Fells Point Corner Theatre, a Producer with Motte & Bailey, prod., and the greatest stay-at-home dad his kids have ever known. He is passionate about justice, representation, indigenous sovereignty, and centering non-straight-white-cis-male stories and opinions everywhere possible. He himself is a straight-white-cis-male, so this bio is about as much of his story as he is comfortable with you caring about. He loves his wife and kids and would be nowhere without them. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire Brad Norris.

Zoë Di Giorgio (she/her) - Stage Manager

Zoë is a local depressive goblin nightmare girl who spends her time as a librarian, writer, and role-player. She has been active on-and-off in Baltimore theater since 2016. Most recently, she has appeared in "Planar Taxi Company" and "Port Righ" with the WRPG. She's grateful to Brad for this opportunity, and sends endless love to the cast, her parents, her cats, and her human, Nate (who will be fed after the show, she promises).

Anna McGreevy (she/her) - Costumer

Anna McGreevy is a children’s librarian by day and a historical fashion nerd by night. She is a recovering theater kid and is delighted to be back on Baker Street. Her professional costuming work has been centered at Fells Point Corner Theater. Her credits include Miss Holmes and On the Verge; or, The Geography of Yearning. Millions of thanks to Brad for encouraging her latent English major side with discussions about floriography and chatelaines and blood spatter. Another thousand thanks to Zoë for corset-whispering and listening to rants about historical undergarments and being the best co-conspirator a girl could ask for. Big love to her husband-beast Matt for helping her carry so many things (not least of all her heart), her parents for making her watch all those movie musicals as a kid, and the cast for putting up with her eccentricities (for the second time, for some lucky few).
