Produced in Partnership with the Baltimore August Wilson Celebration, FPCT is proud to present the seventh play in August Wilson's extraordinary American Century Cycle.
​
In the Hill District of Pittsburgh in 1977, a group of Black men struggle to make a living as drivers for a makeshift taxi company. Owner Jim Becker’s son, Clarence, returns from prison just as the cab company faces a critical juncture. Deep animosities and long-held grudges come to the surface, jeopardizing the prospects for the drivers, who include alcoholic Fielding, gossipy, comical Turnbo, and earnest, decent Youngblood.

While Jitney falls eighth chronologically in the American Century Cycle, it was the first play of the series to be written and produced.

Exchange
Tickets may be exchanged for an additional performance of the same production (only) up to 24 hours before ticketed show time, pending availability. Tickets purchased for Pay-What-You-Can Previews cannot be exchanged.
Parking
Located on a residential block, FPCT has no dedicated or handicapped parking. Available street parking may be 2 - 3 blocks away. We strongly suggest allowing plenty of time (15 minutes or more) to find parking. We also suggest rideshare and carpooling. If you arrive after showtime we cannot guarantee that we will be able to seat you. ​​​​

Groups
Group sale discount is automatically applied to all orders with a quantity of 10 or more. Group tickets must be purchased in one transaction. Group seats cannot be held without payment.

Standby Tickets and Sell Out Information
As an all-volunteer organization with no paid box office staff, FPCT is not able to manage a wait-list for those seeking tickets to sold out performances. An in-person (only) waitlist will be opened at the box office one hour before each showtime for standby and returned tickets. We anticipate that a handful of tickets will be available for each performance, although we cannot guarantee it, and they will be distributed on a first-come fist-served basis to patrons waiting in-person in the lobby. We will not be able to hold tickets or put names on the waitlist for anyone who is not present in the lobby when the waitlist opens.

FPCT is currently working on potentially extending the number of performances. When that is confirmed, we will announce the extension on our website, through our email newsletter, and on social media. We cannot share any information about the extension until it is announced. We cannot hold tickets or reservations for a potential extension.

On rare occasion, tickets that are released or donated will become available on our ticketing website.
