Laura Malkus, President
Laura Malkus (she/her) is Baltimore-based performer, musician, songwriter, and arts management evangelist who has been a veteran of Baltimore’s small stages for the past two decades. Favorite past roles include Brooke in Other Desert Cities (FPCT), Ms. Thelma in Promenade: Baltimore (Single Carrot Theatre), Brunehilde et al in Das Barbecue (Vags) and Harper in Angels in America I & II (Axis Theatre). She attended the professional actor training program at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC and received a Graduate Certificate in Arts Leadership and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University.
Kay-Megan Washington, Vice President
Kay-Megan Washington (she/her/hers) (Vice President) is a seasoned stage actress in the Baltimore/DC region. Recent roles include Mrs. Muller in Doubt (Vagabond Players), Beatrice in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (Spotlighters), Vivian in Wit and Hermia in Dead Man’s Cell Phone (FPCT), Ethel Green in the premiere of Pillar Rabbit (Baltimore Playwrights Festival), and featured roles in Dan Rodricks’s plays, Baltimore, You Have No Idea and Baltimore Docket. Kay-Megan is also a film and television actress and an intimacy director, when not on her Muggle job with Maryland Department of Agriculture.


Penelope Chan, Secretary
Penelope Chan (she/her) moved to Baltimore from Los Angeles in 2019 and is a lifelong performer, artist, writer, and musician. Her favorite roles were Penny Sycamore in You Can't Take it With You (Caltech ExPliCIT), Judith in The Ashgirl (Caltech ExPliCIT), Marmee in Little Women (Strand Theater), and Carlotta in Dead Man's Cell Phone (FPCT).
Michael Lonegro, Treasurer
Michael Lonegro (he/him) is currently Director of Operations and Finance at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company in Baltimore. He has previously worked as a theatrical lighting designer and electrician, Adjunct Faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and Humanities Editor at the Johns Hopkins University Press.


Marianne Angelella, Member-at-Large
Marianne began her career as a theatre educator at FPCT inspired by Bev Sokal and Marley Willard. A few years earlier, Marianne was a student in the FPCT adult acting program lead by Barry Feinstein. Since the early 1990s, Marianne has been a teaching artist for many theatres in Baltimore and DC, was an affiliate theatre faculty member at Loyola University. For the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, Marianne was a teaching artist, a company member, and Education Director. She taught theatre and creative drama at Baltimore Lab School for 16 years, retiring in 2024. Marianne is an actor in Maryland and DC. At FPCT she most recently appeared in Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man's Cell Phone and Gertrude Stein and A Companion by Win Wells. Marianne is looking forward to supporting her creative home, FPCT, as a member of the board.
Barbara Madison Hauck, Member-at-Large
Barbara (she/her) is an actor, community activist, ordained minister, and fun fact aficionado. Born and raised in Baltimore, she has been acting since the tender age of six. Some roles of which she is most proud include Marie Antoinette in Marie Antionette and the Magical Negroes (Single Carrot Theatre), Alais in Lion in Winter (Vagabond Players), Kimber in Stick Fly (FPCT), Edward/Betty in Cloud 9 (Baltimore Theatre Project), and W in Cock (FPCT), among others. Barbara earned a BFA in Acting from UMBC and attended the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. Barbara was elected the first Artistic Director in FPCT history in 2019 and served in that role until 2023.


J Purnell Hargrove, Artistic Director
J Purnell Hargrove is a Baltimore based performer who has been shimmying up and down the east for more years than they care to admit. They are the co-founder of The Greasy Utterson, a podcast production company whose audio drama podcasts (including a twelve episode adaptation of THE SECRET GARDEN) can be found on all major podcatcher’s. J was last seen in the American Premier of Zelda the Musical, a show based on the life of Zelda Fitzgerald and will next be seen as the title character in the world premier of The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch. Brad Norris, Managing Director
Brad Norris (he/him) is a Baltimore based Scenic Artist, Sound Designer, Fight Choreographer, Director, Production Manager, and nerd who enjoys serving the theatre community as part of Fells Point Corner Theatre's Board. He is currently the Station Manager of The WRPG, and trying to hike and camp as much as humanly possible in his free time. He is passionate about justice, representation, indigenous sovereignty, reading books, playing RPGs and board games, and centering non-straight-white-cis-male stories and opinions everywhere possible.
