Education at Fells Point Corner Theatre

Education has been a cornerstone of Fells Point Corner Theatre’s mission since our inception. Whether it’s adult acting and writing classes offered by prominent Baltimore theater practitioners or Creative Drama classes for the children of our Upper Fells Point neighborhood, FPCT is committed to teaching and learning and providing individuals and groups with opportunities for thoughtful expression. This is our educational mission; Baltimore is our classroom and its people are our students. We hope you will join us!

We also appreciate any feedback regarding the classes and/or programs you’d like to see offered. Please email us at education@fpct.org with suggestions or any questions you might have.

Youth Classes Coming this spring:

FPCT’s Creative Drama class (K-3rd grade and 4th-6th grades) utilizes a ‘process’ rather than ‘product’ approach which is developmentally appropriate and effective for harnessing a group’s creative impulses. The course curriculum includes story telling, ensemble playwriting through improv, imagination journeys, theater games, music, art, and dance. Creative Drama promotes a sense of play while guiding the young actor to explore their tools of voice, body, imagination, concentration, and cooperation. The class culminates in a presentation or mini-performance that provides students with a sense of accomplishment and ownership of their collective work.
