Beginning and Advanced Theatre Workshops now Available
Fells Point Corner Theatre is now offering both beginning and advanced workshops for those interested in acting, or looking to push their talents to a new level.
Beginning acting workshops are offered by Barry Feinstein, a local theatre director for over 30 years and certified Speech pathologist. These workshops will focus on the application of basic acting exercises such as sense memory and personal involvement in the imaginary all designed to rid the beginning actor of self consciousness and the trepidation of being on stage before an audience . By participating in different improvisations the actor will learn to live on stage in the moment and react truthfully within the imaginary circumstance. Advanced scene study-performance workshops will involve commitment to reading of original plays by local playwrights and rehearsing selected scenes which will culminate in a performance for an invited audience.
This advanced workshop will also be lead by Barry Feinstein, and will incorporate the teachings of Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meisner. Acting is living in the moment and reacting truthfully within the imaginary circumstance. The cost of the Advance workshop is only $60.
