Fells Point Corner Theatre

Back by popular demand, the Herdman’s will soon be unleashed on the Fells Point Corner Theatre stage… but only for two short weekends!

Several of the actors in this local cast are reprising their roles from last year, while there are also a number of new faces that we will welcome to the stage for the very first time!

The show runs from December 12 - 21. Tickets for children 12 and under are only $8, and Saturday Matinee’s are only $10 for all the children over 12 (this means everyone)!

Mike Giuliano of the Towson Times just wrote a lovely review about “The Sisters Rosensweig”, now playing at Fells Point corner Theatre through December 7th.  Titled, “Finding familial affection in Fells Point”, Giuliano goes on to say that, “A genuine sense of family comes across in this production. The actors playing the three sisters trade lines with natural ease”.  He concludes his review by stating simply, “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll have a good time.”

The 2008-2009 season has already started, and our first production, “Take Me Out” was a huge success! But there are still 4 more Main Stage productions (5 including our annual Holiday Show) remaining in the season, and we want to provide you with another opportunity to enjoy ALL the shows at our special subscribers rate.

New for the 2008-2009 season, FPCT has added limited engagement “Thursday Night Cheap Seat” performances to our schedule, where every seat goes for only $10! Are your weekends already filled with social activities and ball games? On a tight budget and trying to save some money? Want to see your favorite show a second time? Now there is no longer a reason to miss a show at Fells Point Corner Theatre!

Due to cast obligations and Thanksgiving, there will be only one Thursday Night performance of “The Sisters Rosensweig” (Thursday, December 4th), however, we are making Sunday, November 30th a Cheap Seat performance. All tickets on Sunday, November 30th will cost only $10!

Also, due to the special nature of our Holiday Show - “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” - and the fact that much of the cast are school aged children, we will not be burdening them with additional Thursday Night performances. However, we will still offer $10 Cheap Seats for both Saturday Matinee shows: December 13th & 20th!

Fells Point Corner Theatre will open the doors to its second production of the season, Sisters Rosensweig, by Wendy Wasserstien, on Friday, November 7, 2008. The show will run through December 7th.

“Sisters” is a beautiful comedy of Family, Love and ReDiscovering ones self, and is certain to attract a large audience. Order your tickets online to reserve your seats to this wonderful show!

FELLS POINT CORNER THEATRE serves our city and state, and even beyond, as a producer of many premieres, and offers artistic and educational opportunities for all ages including for those who are challenged. Last May we were proud to have received the Key from Mayor Sheila Dixon which makes this historic city firehouse truly ours. We recognize our new responsibilities and relish the special meaning this Holiday Season has for us.

Fells Point Corner Theatre will be holding its annual Holiday Auction and Bazaar, which helps support the many programs the theatre provides for our community. The Auction/Bazaar will coincide with our Annual Holiday Show “The Best Christmas Pagent Ever” and bids can be made before or after any performance

From Stage Managing to Lighting & Sound Techs, there are may opportunities to get involved, learn new skills, and work with some of the most creative people in town!

Fells Point Corner Theatre will once again be holding a special theatre workshop during the spring and summer of 2009 for disadvantaged and special needs kids and teens.
