Acting Workshop - Creating a Monologue

Wednesdays, February 29 - March 14, 2012  ($45)

Fells Point Corner Theatre is offering a unique acting workshop specifically focused on developing a monologue for auditions.  This workshop, lead by Barry Feinstein, will focus on:

  • Relaxation and Mental Skills to Meet the Demands of an Audition
  • Concentration and Focus on Character
  • Utilizing Emotion
  • Finding Private Moments to Shape the Dialogue
  • Enhancing the Actors Sensory Instrument to Gain Deeper Involvement

 

The workshop begins on Wednesday, February 29th and runs three consecutive Wednesday's from 7:30 - 10:30pm.  Actors should come with a 2-minute monologue prepared as a baseline to get started.

Barry Feinstein is a well-known local director who has been working in Baltimore for over thirty years.  He will incorporate the teachings of Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meisner. “Acting is living in the moment and reacting truthfully within the imaginary circumstance.”
