Top 10 Things to know about me...
- "David Austin" was inspired by Woody Allen’s Crimes and Misdemeanors, in which a hit man uses flowers to get into a woman’s apartment and promptly kills her.
- Janet Robash, whose name shows up in the play, is a former neighbor and dear friend. When she read that far in the play, she ejaculated coffee through her nose.
- I love Spoonerisms, and my most produced play is PRINDERELLA AND THE SINCE.
- I began writing plays about two minutes after I retired from teaching political science at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
- On days I don’t playwright, I get cranky.
- I’m also a fitness instructor. I teach water aerobics, spinning, etc.
- My lifetime favorite sport is shooting pool.
- When I lived in MD, it was as a Jesuit seminarian at Woodstock, outside Balto.
- I live in Philly, where my daughter and her family also live. I commute a lot to NYC, where my two sons, their families, and my girlfriend live.
- My grandson, Griffin McGeever, was born 4/23/11. Wooooo hooooo!
