Laura Gifford
What drives you to act?
Laura: A 2002 Toyota Rav4 with over 200,000 miles on it.
How are you like your character in Table Manners?
Laura: We both have “gorse bush” hair that we don’t brush very often.
Which of your past performances are you most proud of?
Laura: It’s a tie between Ella in Jim Cary’s Ella’s Song, and Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane.
Tell us about your life outside of the theater.
Laura: I’ve been married to my husband for 26 years and he’s the best man in the universe. We live on a farm with cats, dogs, parrots, goats and horses.
When you are not acting, what is your favorite thing to do?
Laura: Ride my wonderful horse.
Name your three top movies of all time.
Laura: Lassie Come Home, National Velvet, Waiting for Guffman.
What is your greatest weakness?
Laura: Onion rings.
