Top 10 Things to know about me...


  1. I have been teaching myself to play the guitar and the piano for the past 18 years. You would think I would have gotten the hang of them both by now, but I'm an awfully slow learner.
  2. Both of my parents have taught English for the better part of both their respective careers, so a sentence ending in a preposition is something I am acutely aware of. Crap.
  3. I once broke my left elbow jumping over a lawnmower. Now my arms point in different directions. Please don't tell anyone about this. It's an embarrassing thing to have to think of. Crap, I did it again.
  4. I can't stand melons.
  5. Sometimes I forget to follow through on things. This one time, I 
  6. I have red hair. Most people don't know that about me.
  7. I have been waiting now for years for someone to disabuse me of the notion that I drive as well as I think I do.?
  8. None of my vices are as illegal as they are unhealthy. So, I've got that going for me...
  9. I tend to over think things. When I was 15, I failed the Learner's Permit exam 4 times, not because I hadn't studied, but because, come on, if you're sleepy while driving, sometimes you pull over and power nap, and sometimes you pull off for a cup of coffee. It depends on the situation. How is it fair to present me with two or three perfectly viable... Hmm. I guess I also hold grudges for way too long too..
  10. When I step onto the stage, it as if I am taking a deep, relaxing breath while standing alone, deep in some forest. Aside from the continued immeasurable joy I feel every morning on discovering when I wake up that it was not a dream, and that she did indeed accept my proposal of marriage, being on the stage is my absolute favorite thing to do.
